Sneha Thanneer Kudam for Birds – 2026 As part of the “Sneha Thanneer Kudam for Birds” project, initiated in 2011 under the leadership of the Nature Protection Group, the formal inauguration of the Sneha Thanneer Kudam 2026 project was held at the Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University campus. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ananthakrishnan B, officiated the inauguration.

The event was presided over by Aneesh Karimpuzha, NSS Program Coordinator of Kerala Kalamandalam. Sajir Taj, Thrissur District Charity Convener of the Nature Protection Group Kerala, released the Sneha Thanneer Kudam brochure. Shaji Thomas N., State Coordinator of the Nature Protection Group Kerala, presented the project overview.

Students Atul, Aniket, Ashwanth, Anamika Sajeev, Ashwathi Suresh, Ridha, Akhila, and Nandan Lenin led the proceedings.

State-Level Inauguration of World Ozone Day Week Celebrations Held at Kerala Kalamandalam (Deemed University), Cheruthuruthy As part of the World Ozone Day Week celebrations, various programmes are being conducted across different parts of the state from September 15 onwards. The state-level inauguration of these programmes, organised at Kerala Kalamandalam (Deemed University), Cheruthuruthy, was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. B Ananthakrishnan.

The programme was presided over by Aneesh Karimpuzha, NSS Programme Officer of Kerala Kalamandalam. Sajir Taj, Thrissur District Charity Convener of the Nature Protection Group, Kerala, handed over the Ozone Week celebration brochure. Shaji Thomas N., State Coordinator of the Nature Protection Group, Kerala, administered the Ozone Day pledge.

Students including Alensha, Aravind, Sujith, Anooj, Abhijith, Srihari, Gauri, Parvathy, Krishna Neelambari, Anushka and Ashtami led the proceedings.

The inauguration emphasised the relevance and importance of Ozone Day at a time when the intensity of global warming is increasing day by day. The inaugural speaker also stressed that climate change is an issue that must be addressed with great care and attention.

As part of the programme, saplings were presented as prizes to the winners of the quiz competition conducted at the venue. A commemorative tree was also planted on the campus.
